In this one-of-a-kind show, art aficionados and connoisseurs will be able to immerse themselves in a spiritual trip.

In Mumbai, 17 paintings and 7 installations will showcase a portion of India's rich Vedic literature, which is vital to the culture and philosophy.

These are part of the "Spiritual Reflections" show, which will run from October 17 to October 23 at Mumbai's renowned Jehangir Art Gallery.

In this one-of-a-kind show, art aficionados and connoisseurs will be able to immerse themselves in a spiritual trip. "I see art as a tool for expressing profound and intangible ideas," stated renowned artist Dr Archana Srivastava.

Dr. Srivastava's artwork explores esoteric philosophical subjects and has received international acclaim, including the renowned "Leonardo da Vinci International Award" in 2023. She has dedicated herself as the Founder and CEO of ArtSage to conserving and promoting Indian art and history. The exhibition will include sculptures by the acclaimed senior artist, Bhagwan Rampure, in addition to Dr Srivastava's masterpieces, providing a full investigation of Indian philosophy and spirituality.

"Art can convey timeless philosophical messages by simplifying complex concepts and making them accessible to others." Metaphors are essential in making abstract concepts intelligible. As a Bhakti-Yoga practitioner, I have a strong attachment to Lord Krishna and his teachings. The intellectual masterwork known as the 'Bhagavad-Gita,' which is regarded as the most comprehensive exposition of perennial philosophy, has had a significant influence on me. The same can be said about the other ancient Vedic literature. "I believe it is critical that we unearth the meaning within these scriptures not only for ourselves, but also to share its relevance with our contemporaries," she remarked on the eve of the show.

"In conclusion, the Vedic concept of the eternal soul (Atman) having a temporary human experience (Jiva) emphasises the profundity of human life." It urges people to recognise their inherent essence, pursue spiritual progress, and eventually transcend the cycle of birth and death in order to reunite with the eternal and divine source, also known as Brahman or God.

"This philosophy is the foundation for many spiritual practices and beliefs within Vedic and other related traditions," Dr Srivastava continued.
